Course Description
The course will cover the use of proximal and remote sensing aimed at the application of precision agriculture. The program will mix of theoretical aspects (morning) and practical sessions (afternoon), which consist of the description and use of various instruments (geophysical sensors, multi- and hyperspectral cameras, drones, etc.), software for spatial data analysis, and devices for sitespecific management of irrigation and fertilization. Participants are encouraged to use their own laptops.
Target audience and prerequisites
The course will be activated if the minimum number of 15 participants is reached and is open to a maximum of 25 people. Admission to the course will be subject to evaluation by the Board of the Italian Society of Agronomy. Priority will be given to SIA members who are regularly enrolled for 2025 and to PhD students. At the end of the course, an official certificate will be issued, conditional on passing a learning assessment.
