Seminar "Statistical Learning with Big Data"

On October 13^th, the Department of Statistical Sciences has the pleasure to host Prof. Trevor Hastie, who will give a seminar titled  “Statistical Learning in Big Data” at 2:30pm, room SC140.

Prof. Hastie is known worldwide for its contribution to applied statistics, especially in the fields of Data Mining, automatic learning and bioinformatics. He is the author of several books of statistics and one of the most cited authors in the ISI Web of Knowledge.

The seminar is open and free (registration needed here: http://seminariohastie.stat.unipd.it), and will be held in english.
